1. Integral welding type This milling cutter has a compact structure and is easy to manufacture. However, once the cutter teeth are damaged, the entire milling cutter will be scrapped, so it is rarely used at present.
2. Indexable end mills have been gradually replaced by indexable carbide end mills due to their complex structure and many shortcomings. Indexable end mill, which directly clamps the carbide insert in the cutter body groove. When the cutting edge is blunt, the insert can be indexed or replaced with a new insert to continue use. Indexable carbide end mills have the advantages of high efficiency, long service life, easy use, and stable processing quality.
3. Machine clamp welding type This kind of milling cutter is to clamp the welded hard alloy cutter head in the cutter body groove by mechanical clamping. When the cutter teeth are worn out or the cutter head is damaged and scrapped, just press the new cutter teeth, so the cutter body has a long service life.
This kind of milling cutter can be sharpened both integrally and externally. The overall sharpening is to clamp the entire milling cutter on the sharpening machine for sharpening; the external sharpening is to remove the individual teeth from the cutter body and sharpen them individually.
